1/31 TNA Impact tapings : Full results from Orlando of Impact taping for Spike TV

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Welcome to the last taping before Against All Odds. During today’s proceedings TNA taped a “press conference” between Christian Cage and NWA World Heavyweight champion Jeff Jarrett that will not be shown to us in the building. I am sure the rest of the matches for the February 12th PPV will be announced. Former WCW/WWE wrestler Chris Kanyon (Chris K. when he worked for TNA was in attendance. As was former NWA World Heavyweight champion Dory Funk Jr. along with an entourage of people…

Kos Poll: Feingold, Clark, Warner

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

This is the first dKos 2008 straw poll of the year. It’s interesting that every senator on this list voted to filibuster. Perhaps it would be best if every senator was running for president …

Vote for your preferred potential presidential candidate. I’m only including candidates who have expressed interest in running and have a campaign apparatus working on their behalf (whether a real campaign like Clinton or Richardson, or a leadership PAC like everyone else on the list).

Who’s your candidate?

Biden 1%

Vilsack 0%

Bayh 1%

Warner 12%

Clinton 3%

Kerry 3%

Clark 23%

Richardson 2%

Feingold 30%

Edwards 8%

Other 5%

No freakin’ clue 5%

Andy Roddick finally meets his match in this commercial for American Express. This concept has legs. How about a
match between Mike Tyson and Balrog from Street Fighter II? Or a match between Florence Griffith Joyner and
Sonic the Hedgehog? Or between competitive eating champion Kobayashi and Pac Man?

Thirsty People Feel More Pain

Tuesday, January 31st, 2006

Bifurcati writes “Being thirsty makes you more sensitive to pain, according to a recent study. By simultaneously doing brain scans, new areas of the brain were activated when both pain and thirst were present, apparently making the pain more “painful” - perhaps a survival method so that pain is prioritized over thirst. They’d like to do more research, but ethical issues make it tough - even these subjects had to spend three hours being poked and prodded!”

Possible Revolution Interface #10: RS is Revolution System

Another day, another
purported Revolution interface. This one continues the fan favorite RS nomenclature, but raises the ante by extracting
the name "Revolution System" out of it. Is Nintendo’s DS really "Dual Screen," or just a marketing
name? Another sure giveaway on this one has to be the music, which is totally overkill for a gaming interface, and the
blatant promo for N-Sider.

The caption on the video reads, "Suspected
leak of revolution boot up on developer’s console." Sure… a leak. That’s the ticket. Why don’t the people behind
the "Possibles" ever own up to their handiwork? Nobody’s buying the leak business. At least not until we find
one that looks really good. Next!
