Saturday, March 4th, 2006

Afterwards, Alex Shelley walked in the ring with a tape in hand. Jarrett took the VHS tape and told Tenay and West that he has proof that Sting is a quitter. Team Canada celebrated with the heels. It will not help DeLay that his district is more Democratic, ironically by his own making. DeLay’s legal and ethical entanglements stem from his efforts to redistrict Texas to elect more Republicans to the U.S. House….In that same Chronicle poll, 68 percent of respondents said they were undecided on a candidate in the Republican primary, a potentially worrisome sign for DeLay, who enjoys near universal name recognition in the district.

On the other hand, his challengers seem pretty light-weight:

NASA Cancels Missions After All

Saturday, March 4th, 2006

jd writes “Barely a day after NASA chief Dr. Griffen swore blind that projects might be frozen but not cancelled due to the new priorities and budget constraints, news comes of a new asteroid mission that has been cancelled due to the new priorities and budget constraints - something Dr. Griffin did not mention in his earlier comments. The visit to two asteroids, short about $90 million, was completely abandoned according to NASA, with no possibility of revival. In consequence, smaller missions are reportedly feeling at much greater risk.”
