WWE Raw Reax #1: “Flair was an example of what happens when you give someone two months or so off.”
Monday, June 12th, 2006Weird show because yesterday’s ECW pay-per-view was tainted by WWE, but tonight’s Raw was as tainted, if not more, by ECW. Big news: RVD IS the champion. We’d have to expect that, even with the bad finish, but after tonight’s show, Cena is even more over because of it. The booing at the top of the show for RVD was a big indication of the approval of him being a champion after last night, but that added to the destruction of three ECW wrestlers by Cena at the end of the show…

KELLER’S WWE RAW REPORT 6/12: Ongoing “virtual time” coverage of live show
Monday, June 12th, 2006The show opened with a clip from Paul Heyman in front of an ECW banner stating that he wanted to address the title situation from last night. He said that even though Edge interfered against John Cena, and even though two referees went down, and even though he (Heyman) made the count and he’s not a referee, because the match was fought under ECW Rules, the title change is official. He said therefore Edge will face the new champion…
Digby: Bloggers Take a Bow
Monday, June 12th, 2006Digby rocks today over at Firedoglake. The success of Yearly Kos was amazing, with no small part played by the FDL foxy ladies Jane and Christy, and reporters like Murray Waas. If, like me, you were not one of the 1,000 bloggers or blog readers at the event, you can catch what you missed on videos here. The Plame Panel with Jane, Christy, Marcy,Murray and Joe Wilson is here.
Digby’s point is that blogs wouldn’t exist without readers and commenters, and you all deserve to take a bow — not because you’re online, but because you are changing the national political conversation. We are going to take our country back. Since I can’t write like Digby (let’s face it, very few can) I’ll quote — and add my thoughts at the end:

Japanese Scientists Make Alzheimers Progress
Monday, June 12th, 2006grammar fascist writes “The AP wire reports that Japanese medical researchers have developed a DNA-based vaccine that reduces the brain plaque beta amyloid without the severe brain inflammation that plagued successes in 2002. From the story ‘The deposits have been cut by between 15.5 percent and 38.5 percent in mice, with no major side effects, researchers said Monday in the online edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences […] If all goes well, this type of treatment might be available for people in six or seven years, [lead researcher Yoh Matsumoto] said.’”
