WWE Raw Reax #1: “The wrestling was questionable, but the show felt like a big deal”

Monday, October 9th, 2006

Cena vs. Taker was amateurish. Taker clearly jumped up to make the FU possible and Booker’s kick on Cena at the end didn’t actually hit, which they showed. No match featuring that many champs should be so sloppy, even during run-ins.

Heck of a job there, Bushy.

Nearly five years after President Bush introduced the concept of an “axis of evil” comprising Iraq, Iran and North Korea, the administration has reached a crisis point with each nation: North Korea has claimed it conducted its first nuclear test, Iran refuses to halt its uranium-enrichment program, and Iraq appears to be tipping into a civil war 3 1/2 years after the U.S.-led invasion.

Isn’t it about time for the president to award himself a medal?

An Image From TRANSFORMERS’ Detroit Shoot!!

Monday, October 9th, 2006

Merrick here…

Nakedllamabot (eeeewww) sent in this image from the TRANSFORMERS movie Detroit shoot.

I’ve glanced around (admittedly, somewhat cursorily) and couldn’t find this image on any TRANSFORMERS boards, and whatnot. If I’m in error, please feel free to identify its point of origin in the Talkbacks below.

The dynamic of this image makes me smile: feels like a Michael Bay GODZILLA movie (complete with the woman looking skyward in horror). Actually, maybe that’s not a bad way to approach this film? A Michael Bay GODZILLA movie. Hmmmmmmmm…
