Southland Seeks More Money

The long-delayed SF epic film Southland Tales is still seeking funding to finish its many visual effects. “We are still in the process of getting the budget approved to finish all of the additional visual effects in the final cut,” director Richard Kelly wrote on his MySpace.com blog on Feb. 12.

Anna Nicole Smith’s last movie is an SF comedy called Illegal Aliens, and it will be released on DVD in May. The film stars Smith, the celebrity who died last week in Florida, as one of three aliens who transform themselves into super-hot babes and arrive to protect the Earth from intergalactic forces.
