It’s full of explosions and giant budget looking action… which is cool, but… I don’t know… A guy jumping off the exploding roof of an LA skyscraper is hardly realistic, but compared to what’s in this trailer it’s downright pedestrian. This feels really big, but tonally removed from the previous DIE HARD films.

The good news is Bruce Willis seems to be bringing a recognizable John McClane, if in attitude and not appearance.

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here… This is only a rumor at this point, but I have it on good authority that Canadian theaters will be getting a 35mm treat before GRINDHOUSE when it opens there this weekend.

The fan contest winner, HOBO WITH A SHOTGUN, a work of genius by the way, is being rushed to theaters that have booked GRINDHOUSE. I would guess that they didn’t have time to print it into the actual film prints going out as the word is it’s being attached before the film, along with the regular trailers. How cool is that? You know… I collect film… ahem… if any generous Canadian projectionist readers come across one… no one? No one? Okay… moving on.
