A man enjoyed freedom Tuesday after a DNA test proved he did not commit a 1979 rape. John Jerome White, 48, left Macon State Prison on Monday evening. “I’m just thankful that this is behind me,” White said at a news conference Tuesday.

Quiet Riot Singer Singer OD’d on Cocaine

The death last month of Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the 1980s heavy metal band Quiet Riot, has been ruled an accidental cocaine overdose. Clark County coroner spokeswoman Samantha Charles confirmed the cause Monday after toxicology results were received Monday.

Southern Miss has finalized a deal to bring in Oklahoma State coordinator Larry Fedora as new coach.
